Good Times for The Shady Lady

I have developed a FX Robot (Expert Adviser) called The Shady Lady which automates a mechanical system and, so far so good, it's doing quite well.

Applied to four currency pairs:

EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD and EUR/GBP

the system has made a healthy profit of +375 pips during the four weeks that have elapsed since New Year (1/1/18)

At £1 per pip that would be a profit of £375
At £5 per pip that would be a profit of £1875
At £5 per pip that would be a profit of £3750
At £20 per pip that would be a profit of £18750

Good times for The Shady Lady and plenty more to come!

The Shady Lady

We are all looking for ways to work smarter rather than harder and the FX business seems a good way of making a few bob.

However, who wants to sit in front of a PC screen for hours (or days/weeks) on end looking at charts and  FX data? Not me.

Like many activities, you have to wait patiently for an opportunity, maintain concentration and be good enough to take the chance.

Pretend your're a top class cricketer playing in a test match on a hot day, your opponents are at the crease and their two best batsmen are building a record stand. As a fielder you will be hot, tired, thirsty and frustrated but you have to concentrate because a chance might come your way and the criticism will be scathing if a catch is dropped.

Maybe a team of robots could take the place of the fielding side? Most unlikely.

In FX trading, I have developed a few systems which seem to be quite profitable in the long term.

It's just a question of following instructions and opening/closing trades according to a set of rules.

Unfortunately, it does involve sitting in front a PC for hours on end and it is very easy to lose concentration, get bored/distracted/frustrated, let your emotions run away with themselves so that you miss the opportunity you have been waiting patiently for!

Maybe a robot could do a better job than you at following instructions without getting bored/frustrated/emotional...etc?

Actually it could and a FX robot is called an Expert Adviser or EA for short.

I intend to develop and test some Expert Advisers starting with The Shady Lady
